Alpha Phis Heart AEDs

These days, the heart with lightning bolt icon and letters AED are all around us.
Office buildings. Commercial airliners. Grocery stores.

As part of our ongoing mission to improve women's heart health, we have launched an
AED fundraising campaign to add every Alpha Phi chapter to that list.

AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator, a portable device that can be used by anyone to treat sudden cardiac arrest. But the real power of these devices is they give everyone the power to help save a life.

House-DonateNowButton.pngThis year, more than 1,000,000 North Americans will suffer a heart attack. Nearly half of them will occur without any warning signs. Because our Alpha Phi Chapter facilities are places of gathering for so many people - collegians, alumnae, family, friends - we can, and we must, make them the safest and most nurturing environments possible.

This is an opportunity for every Alpha Phi alumna to make a direct impact on her chapter. Please make your life-saving gift today.

All unhoused chapters may choose to donate their AED to a campus or community facility. Additionally, if for any reason a chapter is unable to comply with state laws, they may choose to donate their AED to a campus or community facility. You can learn more about each state's laws surrounding AED installation and usage here.
