Chapter Spotlight – Beta Iota (West Virginia)

This week’s Chapter Spotlight is Beta Iota (West Virginia) who welcomed over 150 participants in their first ever Phi-fa Soccer Tournament! Vice President of Marketing Jillian Steinberg tells us how they did it.

Event Name: Phi-fa Soccer Tournament
Location: In front of the Rec Center on campus
How many times have you held this event? This was our first!

Tell us a little about the event.
We held a one day soccer tournament which consisted of single elimination games with 15 minute halves.

Who attended your event?
Our event fell on Parents Weekend, allowing participants to invite their parents to the game. We were fortunate enough to have all recognized fraternities on campus compete along with three additional student organizations.

How did you publicize the event?
We set up a booth in our student union for three days allowing all students to sign up as well as shared event details with each of the fraternities on campus.
