Perfectly Polished with Kappa Epsilon

Developing strong professional and personal skills as a collegian would prepare any individual for success long-term. The desire to cultivate leadership, confidence, communication, etiquette, and more was intriguing to the Kappa Epsilon (Georgia) chapter. Using their Chapter Leadership Fund, they consulted Perfectly Polished to enhance their members’ leadership development.

Perfectly Polished recognizes the value of individual excellence and has been devoted to the promotion of confidence, leadership, and social intelligence for over thirty years. Using a customized approach, they work with clients to determine exactly what skills they would like to enhance through expert-led workshops and trainings.

At the end of April, Kappa Epsilon welcomed Perfectly Polished to Athens to address several needs within their chapter. This included enhancement of professional skills including interviewing techniques and networking guidance, personal branding, self-confidence in social settings, and navigating being a leader on and off campus. Members left their workshop empowered and ready to thrive, both personally and professionally.

250 chapter members participated in the Perfectly Polished workshop. The importance of leadership development was clearly outlined to all members by the Executive Council and they highlighted the benefits of attending a hands-on, practical program.

Chapter Leadership Funds are set up as endowment funds administered by Alpha Phi Foundation. The grants are administered by Alpha Phi Foundation, and are awarded at least once a year, as needed by the chapter.

A Chapter Leadership Fund grant will fund leadership-centered activities, opportunities and events such as:

• All-chapter or new member class-specific leadership activities
• Facilitated sisterhood events
• Materials directly related to educational goals
• Room reservation fees for presentation space
• Fees and travel expenses for speakers, facilitators, or participants
• Leadership programming
• Cost of attendance for additional members at Fraternity Leadership events
