Alpha Phi Foundation Joins the Global #GivingTuesday Movement
#APhiGivesForward to Women’s Leadership, Scholarship, Assistance Grants, Heart Health and Heritage
Alpha Phi Foundation has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. This year, Alpha Phi Foundation takes the time to recognize the impact of each of its vital programs on #GivingTuesday and asks that Alpha Phis everywhere join them by “giving forward” to the Foundation for future generations.
Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the US) and the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
As the Fraternity membership continues to grow, so do the opportunities in which we can invest in our sisters and community. Whether it’s providing an academic scholarship to a first-generation college student, awarding an assistance grant to a sister in need, or funding the Fraternity’s cutting-edge leadership training and programs, this #GivingTuesday is an exciting opportunity to recognize the impact of the Foundation’s vital programs and give it forward to Alpha Phi.
