“As a first generation college student, receiving this scholarship helps me realize my professional dreams because it has provided me with the empowerment and opportunity to obtain a masters degree after my undergraduate degree. I have dreamed of obtaining a degree in higher education for as long as I remember, and for a long time I never thought I would be able to due to finances. However, this scholarship brings me closer to making this dream come to fruition. This scholarship reminds me that anything is possible even despite the circumstances you may be in and that hard work will always pay off.
