2020 Heart to Heart Grant Finalists Announced

Each year, Alpha Phi Foundation awards a $100,000 Heart to Heart Grant funding an innovative project addressing the need for specialized care and/or education supporting women’s heart health.

With the help of our dedicated volunteer Medical Readers, we have carefully reviewed many exceptional proposals and are thrilled to announce this year’s top 5 Heart to Heart Grant Finalists:

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Boston, MA

Mission: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, a new health care system that brings together academic medical centers and teaching hospitals, community and specialty hospitals, more than 4,000 physicians and 35,000 employees in a shared mission to expand access to great care and advance the science and practice of medicine through groundbreaking research and education. Mission: The faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology within Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa conduct research dedicated to improving the health of women at all stages of life. Their research spans basic science to clinical trials. Ongoing studies range from testing new therapies in gynecologic cancers to understanding mechanisms involved in carrying a healthy pregnancy. Learn more 


Alpha Phi Foundation will announce the Heart to Heart Grant Recipient in late February of 2020 to close out Heart Health Month.
