Alpha Phi Foundation is proud to recognize the 2022-2023 Foundation Scholars: 83 outstanding Alpha Phis whose academic excellence and achievements make us proud to count them as members of our sisterhood.
Through the generosity of Leading With Heart donors, we have been able to provide more members the opportunity to expand their academic pursuits and professional dreams, awarding $430,000 in academic scholarships to the women below. By investing in these sisters, we continue to fulfill our mission of advancing women’s lives through the power of philanthropy now and into the future.

Law school has been an exhilarating journey thus far, and I’m ecstatic to be receiving financial assistance to help fund the remainder of my legal education. This fall, I will be working as a Consultant at Columbia Law’s Center for Public Research and Leadership. I will be providing research and consulting services to organizations committed to helping expand access to high-quality education for all students, particularly for low-income, minority, and traditionally underserved students. Through my studies, I am looking at the causes of math anxiety and exploring K-12 interventions that empower students, teachers, and parents/guardians to break the negative connotations that are often associated with the subject and to increase students’ post-secondary STEM engagement and pursuits. I often worked 30-40 hours a week on top of taking a full load of courses and conducting my own research. Thanks to the Alpha Phi Foundation, I will now be able to solely focus on school as I continue my PhD in Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Through the generosity of Leading With Heart donors, Alpha Phi Foundation awarded $430,000 in merit and need-based scholarships to graduate and undergraduate Alpha Phis for the 2022-2023 academic year.
