Celebrating Alpha Phi Foundation’s 67th Birthday!
Cue the Confetti… Alpha Phi Foundation turns 67 on April 15th!
On April 15, 1956, Alpha Phi Foundation received its nonprofit designation, making Alpha Phi one of the first women’s fraternal organizations to establish a foundation. Much has changed over the past 67 years, but of course one thing has remained the same – our commitment to advancing the lives of our sisters and of women everywhere!
Favorite Foundation Memories
Our Alpha Phi Foundation team has a birthday tradition to reflect on the past and look boldly into the future. Each year, we ask each team member to share their favorite Foundation memory from this past year!

My favorite memory was at 2022 Convention watching Mary Beth Tully’s face as Rebecca Zanatta shared the news that Mary Beth had won the 2022 Outstanding Foundation Volunteer award from Foundation for Fraternal Excellence. It was a much deserved award!

My favorite memory was seeing how proud our collegiate chapters were at Leadership Conference when they received awards for their fundraising success. Our chapter members are at the beginning of their philanthropic journeys and I can’t wait to see what these amazing women will accomplish!

My favorite memory was the Leading with Heart campaign close reveal at Convention. It was such an incredible moment! I felt proud to recognize the generosity of our donors and the passionate women that made it all happen.

My favorite Foundation memory from the last year is experiencing the Leading With Heart celebration dinner and reveal. Our team, the Board of Directors, Campaign Steering Committee, and donors dedicated so much time and passion to Leading With Heart and ensuring a strong future for Alpha Phi. Those in the room were truly living a monumental moment in our sisterhood’s history. A moment that was purely focused on celebrating – and thanking – those who came before us and promising a strong future for the Alpha Phi’s yet to come.

My favorite Alpha Phi Foundation memory was celebrating 150 years of sisterhood, as well as the success of our Leading With Heart campaign at Alpha Phi’s 73rd Biennial Convention this past summer!

Aside from joining the Foundation staff and meeting everyone in person for the first time during our December meetings, the overall experience of fully reconnecting with Alpha Phi has been so rewarding and revitalizing! In a few short months I have gone from being a chapter advisor to my alma mater (woohoo @osualphaphi!) to creating new connections and lifelong friendships with Alpha Phis across the country through this role! I encourage anyone and everyone to get involved with Alpha Phi!

From celebrating 150 years of sisterhood at Convention to working together on the conclusion of the historic Leading With Heart campaign to having a surprise baby shower for the newest member of our Alpha Phi Foundation family, I am grateful to look back on this year with the Foundation.
